Haven't blogged in ages, i know

I need to come back, I miss this

but anyways, Facebook timeline brought this up to me, thought I share it here

wrote it a long time ago, so yeah

i'm doin this, for the kids growing up on the other side of perfect

a life of hurting, only agony is certain

people say eyes are windows to the soul

but you can't see through these curtains

of pain and misfortune

heads are heavy due to the weight of burden

still, they hold it high and even higher when sniffing on glue so they don't mire

in a life of shit, they tend to catch a fire

burn slow, for they know heaven gates are theirs to acquire

I admire their smiles and laughter

hope reminiscing will help them erase the anguish in the hereafter

if they ever reached it, cuz these kids, are just like a rafter

they never know if the next wave will take them to safety or to the grave

most of them are depraved

most of them never had a father, so don't tell one to behave

most of them don't work at all, but one still feels like a slave

and your garbage is someone else's food, and just like you and I they do crave

Gissat al Masoora al Maksoora/ The Broken Pipe Fairytale

Big Welcome to the new blogger SudaneseActifist, who's a dear friend of mine. and here is her Masoora Story :)

Once upon a time, not so long ago (at least 3 months ago), a suicide bomber pipe in Umdurman decided to explode. The pipe was in al-7itana, an area not so old, the pipeline must have been installed at least 20 years ago. Then the government increased water flow. What a noble thing to do. They want to give people more water but with such strong water flow the pipes struggled to subdue.
Poor suicidal 7itana pipe couldn’t take it anymore. Water flowed so strong, more than it could afford. It exploded flooding the whole street causing all sorts of disarray. The street was not paved so ponds kept getting formed. Mosquitos, frogs and wildlife have found a new home!
I know one girl that lives there that kept calling the Water Lords (aka Water Authority of the State of Khartoum). She called them AT LEAST 10 times she said but of course no solution was even sought. Other neighbors also called but only for their demise. All they got in return was a whole bunch of lies. Then they
were told the government cares, no more water should go to waste. They’re installing water meters to prevent the watershed! Rejoice people of 7ittana
water meters will be there FOR you! Yet the broken pipe also stood right there releasing water like a salvo :/
Watershed moment is what the water meters caused. People of 7ittana, Nas al 7illa, rose and roared no water meters shall be installed; “if the water lords dared to mess, they better fix the broken pipe before they can only blame themselves!” For sending a water meter messenger
that will only be beaten up, will be of no good but for the ruthless hospital
thugs (a.k.a some government hospital staff).
The story’s incomplete as we can’t but sit and wait. Will the people rise up or was it all just roars and talk? Will action be taken? And who will start the onslaught? or will it all just be forgotten as the water meters get installed? but who will pay for the broken pipe? whose water meter will it condemn?
I promise I shall keep you posted all they way until the end so stay tuned ya nas and listen up with intent :P
P.S. This is a true story. I’m going to go take pictures of the broken water pipe and post them really soon.

The Compass Still Has an S on it, Or: Between The Drink and The Delusion of Directions

I've started writing something a while ago, in an attempt to materialize my “serenity towards Secession versus Unity” as my last attempt entitled “Otherology”(1) stated. The one I ended with “I’ll finish this January 2011”. But between October, 2010 -which is the date I scrambled Otherology- and today, I’ve torn several papers to pieces, and I came to believe I’ve torn more than just papers in the process.

I’ve never been a patriot; and I don’t appreciate the concept of patriotism very much to be honest. The sloganeering that accompanies it disgusts me. And recently, in the past 5 days a new type of patriotism emerged, at least it’s new to me. It’s most likely inspired by the whole referendum issue which is ironically 5 years old, but I don’t remember seeing a status mourning the loss of the “biggest Arabic country” also, some statuses express the joy that “a thorn on Sudan’s side is finally removed” which is obviously a joy inspired by the despicable Sudanese Just Peace Forum Party (SJPF) and its scumbag of a chairman Al-Tayeb Mustafa who gave up his membership of the ruling party, the National Congress Party (NCP) to establish the SJPF and a newspaper called “Al-Intibaha” to promote his “secessionism”, and suggesting we cast away all those who do not fall under his definition of “The North” –using not only his newspaper, but also a bunch of fancy well printed banners that you’d find scattered around Khartoum-.(2)

Let me leave aside the president’s uncle and his superfluous secessionism, for it’s based on –according to the man himself- “major differences in culture and identity: The north is Arab and Muslim and yearns for its Arab and Muslim surround” because this sick concept of patriotism has one word to describe it, bigotry.

On the other hand, there are those patriots, who mourn the secession -even though it didn’t happen yet- and who have “become aware of the misfortunes of their homeland suddenly, and decided to adopt a melancholic pattern of publicized activism” as a friend suffering a writer’s block described them last night. Not that I’m against their freedom of expression, freedom of timing their expression that is.

Three years ago, I would’ve been writing this under the spell of “mending my broken country”, hell... three weeks ago I was under a similar spell, I used to be touched by the creatively designed pictures that flooded the Internet showing Sudan being intimately held by a person, being the broken heart of Africa, showing faces pained in Sudan’s flag colors, showing it as a sad face with a crack resembling the sad mouth and the south etc. I would be on my homepage and read the words “Fulan and 11 other friends changed their profile pictures”, and without clicking on the link, I can see the pictures most of the 12 friends deemed as Profile Pictures and they’re all, well, “Patriotic Pictures”.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate those PPs at all, nor do I judge its users intentions in any way, but the effect they had on me before I tore the last paper is long gone now, I’m happy that a part of Sudan gained an opportunity to win its independence from this fascist regime that has drugged the Sudanese people by means meaner than a banner held by a group of Dinka in Juba written in Arabic saying “bye, bye Khartoum”.

Sudan, the Land of the Black, a name equivalent to the name Ethiopia in meaning is engraved in the minds of Sahara dwellers (Morocco, Tunis, etc) as the regions of Senegal, Mali, and Nigeria. Historically, the area south of the Sahara extending from The Red Sea east, to the Atlantic Ocean west has been known as Al-Sudan(3), Islam and Arabic Language has spread in those regions long time ago, and co-existed alongside with the native religions and languages and were -Arabic, and Islam- naturally, affected by them. After their independence, the countries of the area known as Al-Sudan adopted new names drawn from their heritage, history, geography, etc, except for Sudan, and Ethiopia, their names were chosen by the ruling elite in both countries, and so were their flags, anthems, and constitutions, years later, in 1993 Eritrea gained its independence from Ethiopia in a scenario similar to the one we have in Sudan.

After Sudan’s independence, the Sudanese ruling elite defined the new born state as “Arab” and “Muslim”. The new constitution was silent on two crucial issues for southern leaders - the secular or Islamic character of the state and its federal or unitary structure. However, the Arab elite of Khartoum promised the southerners to create a federal system, which later led to a mutiny by southern army officers that launched the civil.

This “Afandi” mentality replaced the colonial mentality of the British and created a barrier of civilization between the governor and the governed. Those “Afandia” who occupied small administrative jobs under the British colonial government, viewed the Sudanese society in the same way the British viewed them, a primitive society, thus alienating themselves from it, and after independence those Afandia inherited the government, neglecting the various cultural aspects of this society and this neglectance can be observed in the dominance of Odurmanian Music (also known as Hageeba Music) over the other musical styles for example. This perception of inferiority is what controlled the official media since the independence.

“Marisa”, a brewed drink (some sort of a beer), indigenous to the Nuba mountains and considered a basic breakfast meal for the locals of who sip it before heading to the fields to work the land, it is not intoxicating unless consumed heavily and made from the very same ingredients they use to make another breakfast meal which is “Asida”. It was deemed “Haraam” after the Islamic Sharia Laws were applied in Sudan based on the Islamic doctrine of “ma askara kathiroho, fa galiloho haraam” (What intoxicates in large quantities, the little of it is forbidden). Government carried out the laws against this drink with no regards to its role in the native culture of the Nuba Mountains, although the carriers of the law were a minority of believers in its prohibition, but their faith being perceived through the Ideological and political dimension of the regime.

It is said that Islam was introduced to this part of the world known today as Sudan through a man named Abdullah Ibn Abi Al-Sarh, who waged war on the Nubians in the North of Sudan, coming from Egypt, Nubians being the fierce fighters they are, the war ended by signing the longest treaty man ever known, The Baqt Treaty, lasted over 700 years between the Christian Nubians and the Muslim Arab rulers of Egypt. Its major provision was that 360 slaves per year are to be sent to Egypt and the rulers of Egypt would send goods down south including wheat and legume. The treaty also obliged the Nubian kings of Al-Mukarra Kingdom to maintain a mosque for Muslim visitors and residents. Another theory argues that Islam was introduced peacefully through western Hajj passages, however, over a period of over half a century Islam infiltrated the Sudanese societies. A system of disperse emerged as the Arabs who fled the Mamluke Dynasty’s rage in Egypt declared themselves as “Ashraf”, associating themselves to the Mohammadean bloodline, therefore guaranteeing a position in society very effective and altering to the societies they found. The maternal system of Nubians and Beja people is but an example of the aspects that almost perished under this caste system.

When I first visited Al-Bagarwya in 2008, I noticed the structural similarities between the Nubian pyramids and the Islamic Gubba (Sudanese shrine), of course the cultural similarity is obvious, both, the pyramid and the “Sudanese” shrine are used to host the body of reverend figures after their death. Sudanese people incorporate elements that are neither Arabic nor Islamic into their identity, if any indication, this clearly indicates that we’re more “Sudanese” than Arabs or Muslims, and by Sudanese I refer to The Sudan the continent not the country.

A friend asked me, what side am I with. The South and The North are mere directions to me, I’m no longer a victim of the delusion of directions. The same delusion that caused the death of men in Karari and the fall of their Mahadian State, that their leader being an Ashraf who descend from the east will gain them victory. Ibrahim, a fellow member of Sudan Unite Group(4), was asked by Al-Arabia TV if the secession of the South will put an end to the SUG, he replied “Intellectual battles do not end by political defeats”, I couldn’t say it better. If secession becomes reality next week, I wish the country number 193 will flourish and becomes the new heart of Africa and its people will be healed and rewarded for all the years they’ve suffered because of the delusion of directions. After all, all the borders of the world are ought to fall. I’ll finish this by finishing the Lennon’s quote I started with: “You may say that I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. And the world will be as one”.

Couldn’t draft that much

I havn't been blogging lately because I'm so busy putting together an album under ReZoulution (AKA REZ249) records, whcih is a 100% independent label. set by me and my friend Ran Quip 2 years ago, and now consisted of 7 rappers. we make our own music, mostly smaple-besed beats using Sudanese original songs. and we rap in English, Classic Arabic, and Sudanese Arabic.

anyways, our first mixtape entitled "The Food of The Sun" is to be released soon, by me (DZA Tha Dissenter) and Ran Quip, it's all in English Language, I gurantee it's going to be one of the best english rap albums ever been made in the middle east zone.

We released a single a couple of days ago, "Forgotten Age" it is, political rap. sudanese to the core. hear it out.

This Is Really Annoying My Feelings!

The Sudanese journalist Mrs. Lubna Ahmed Hussien invites us all to come to her trial. as she might recieve the verdict of 40 lashes as a punishment for the crime of wearing an outfit that is "annoying to the public taste"!!!

Lubna Ahmed Hussien is a sudanese journalist who's been writing in local newspapers for years now, and has a famous column titled "Kalam Rujal" (meaning "Speech of Men"), in mid October of 2008, she was arrested along with 15 journalists. (for further information about the incident, see page 16 of THE SUDANESE HUMAN RIGHTS QUARTERLY.

back to the topic at hand, the law of which the court's verdict will be based on is part of the Sudan Criminal Procedure Act of year 1991, and titled with the number (152). Lubna's crime was described as "annoying to the public feelings". wait, take a look at her the outfit she was wearing and tell me if your "feelings" were "annoyed".

This is a very respectful outfit to wear in a place like Khartoum, if they accused her of "annoying the public feelings" with this (which is only the notorious Public Order Police way of saying "you're a whore") so the Moral Police is also accusing my mother, my sisters, and my friends of being disrespectful whores who should be arrested anyday and lashed.

you wanna know what really annoys the feelings?

It's the systematic violence brought to the rooms of girls' dormitory of Khartoum University by real whores, masked men with meta bars, attacking over 30 unarmed women sending dozens to hospitals for medical care, and eventually the government (who cares about the public feelings) shut down the dormitory without giving a damn about the feelings of these girls who came from their rural villages to study and have nowhere else to go. oh, the whores who attacked the dormitory are members of the National Congress Party (the ruling part), so we know who paid for these metal bars. Children Rape annoys the feelings, The situation of the abandoned children of Mygoma Orphanage annoys the feelings, the unfair imprisonment of Nahla Bashir annoys the feelings. But no, they decide to spend time and money persecuting a respectfull hard working beatiful woman and leave the malicious lazy ugly MEN who bring us nothing but misery.

Omer Al-Dosh, a great sudanese poet, described Khartoum in one of his poems, as "the city that lies down and sell its thighs to passerbys, look down at her children and push them to the river Nile, and goes back to lie down". I wonder what would he say if he witness these times.

Mrs. Lubna's last article was about The Kenana Sugar Company, of which the NCP hold a great share of stocks in, the company launched a new project to produce Ethanol which is a side product of Sugar manufacturing, and the president OMer Al-Bashir himself will open the project her article then discusses the fact that we can't use Ethanol for automobile fuel here because we still don't have the Technology, but It can be used to manufacture Spirits/Alcohol. she compares the company (and its stockholders) with the poor women who manufacture Aragi (Sudanese local alcoholic drink) and mocks the "Salvation Revolution" so-called "Civil Project" seperation of Alcohol manufacturing from the canned, non-alcoholic drinks manufacturing, and describe it of being a joke in the face of the "Civil Project's" enemy which is "seperating religion from the state". and tells the story of the Shaheed Organization (Martyr's Organization), which is a product of the Salvation Revolution (Established July, 1992), She remembers that, this organization actually started manufacturing Alcohol long before Kenana. right after the Organization stopped making Food Oil and started importing it from Malaysia and continued making Ethanol, which later reached the cups of sudanese citizens who found a hard time getting real Aragi because of the famous Sharia Laws that chased down local manufacturers, the ethanol manufactured by Shaheed Organization became locally known as ESPIRIT (obviously derrived from Spirit) and it caused poisoning and sudden blindness to its users. She later elaborates in a comically in the subject and finishes her article by the question "Is Kenana's Ethanol for the car, or for the driver?".

We are living ugly times in Sudan, we might started manufacturing airplanes, but technology is nothing if we don't start working on our mental and moral health. I remember from my last visit to Kasala, I was having an outside lunch with a group of freinds from Khartoum and other Kasala locals, not far away from us there were a group of a famous private medical college, most of them born and raised out of Sudan, so their dress code might be a little different from Kasala's local citizen "taste". I was shocked when some of the people I'm with described the girls of being "nothing but whores" for dressing like that, and asking questions like "Where're their parents?".

In August of the year 1997, students of Ahfad University for Women were arrested and lashed in public by the Morality Police (The Public Order Police).

And about two months ago, in my university (which is been controlled by NCP for over 7 years now, they haven't lost an election in 7 years, I stopped voting), they banned girls who wore T-Shirts from entering the campus!! and as a result, a security guard slapped a student on her face for insisting to go inside and catch her lecture. We -the students- split into two groups, those who agreed on slapping her, and those who were against the dress-code rule and the security guard violent action. I was shocked at some of the first group's opinions on this matter, the word Taliban kept echoeing in my head everytime some fucked up dude mentions the words Fitna, Awra, Munkar, etc.

this is a mere result of the bullshit fed to the sudanese citizen by the decayed government of Ingaz that contradicts not only itself, but also the doctrine they say their based on, which is Islam. I'm afraid soon we will have a gathering like this somewhere in Khartoum. I hope Lubna doesn't get lashed, and that she puplished her invitation for nothing, but if THEY lashed her, then it'll be OUR shame if we don't do something about it.

Let's end this with a party, held at Kober Prison in Khartoum, thrown by the POLICE. and view the real whores, i'm not talking about the singer, she's just doing her job. I'm talking about the policeman who's taking a video with his phone, i'm talking about the KOZ (local nickname for NCP members) who signed the papers for bringing this singer and then lecturing us about how we should dress.

I have just learned that a member of the Nubian Forum was arrested for unkown reasons. word on the Forum is: on the 6th of this month, several topics by Mr. Abdul-Hakim Al-Mahasy were deleted mysteriously, calling his cellphone which was off, then calling his brother who told the Forum members that Abdul-Hakim was arrested by the Intelligence and Security Agency. and it seems they somehow got Abdul-Hakim's password and deleted the topics and articles.

this is all i know for now, I'll try to post more info later, and i'll try to get the deleted topics, i'm sure they're about the ICC.
i'm so furious right now, grrr .

My Reaction to RCC

Salam all, Drima posted asking fellow Sudanese Bloggers to post links for their reaction on the ICC's warrent against Al-Bashir . I'm on my final exams these days so I'm not going to post something big this time, but I found these funny cartoons by the Sudanese cartoonist Omer Dafa'allah, I will try to translate them in a sec, and come back later to post what I think about this.

I have plenty to say about this just like millions of Sudanese citizens from both sides, those who support Al-Bashir, and those who support the ICC (to those who support Al-Bashir there's no such thing as ICC it's only the "jew", "pig" "playboy" Ocampo, and they're taking it in a personal way that just sickening). there's also those who wants to see justice brought to Sudan but they don't want it to be brought by the ICC and the ones behind it, one can't deny there are people behind this move and who benefit from its "consequences". consequences, that is a scary word to most of us Sudanese when it comes to this decision. Kizan (= Sudanese people call NCP's regime members' Kizan and it translates to cups or buckets, its singular is pronounced "Koz", it's said that Hassan Al-Turabi, the NCP's godfather have created this phrase back in the 80's or 70's I don't remember, when he stated that "Islam is a sea, and we are the cups/kizan that draw from it", yeah right. anyways. Kizan are trying to make us believe that there will be chaos and madness if Omer was arrested, they tend to repeat that the ICC's goal is "Creative Chaos" and they work to convince the Sudanese masses that if you do not support Omer Al-Bashir, you are a spy and a puppet of the enemies, which is Ocampu, USA, jews, blah blah. I gotta run now, lemme past them pictures first with simple translations.

Omer Al-Bashir holding his shoe yelling "dog, coward, playboy", and two men looking, one is obviously high on Bango (sudanese slang for Marijuana) saying "Man, seems he went nuts", I didn't finish translation of his line cuz i'm not sure what it means, but if it's what I think it is then LMAO, it's funny lideeeeen. so, sudanese visitors, whatta you think he means by "shari7a"?

Tribalism Vs. Statism

Last night I went to a police station to file a report against some "Al Nizam Al3am" recruites who arrested me for "buying alcohol" (A Nizam Ala'am=Puplic Order, which is a police department responsible for "fighting moral crimes", like alcohol, drugs, sex, etc, and they are SOB's I tell you), well, me and a friend did buy a bottle of alcohol, but my friend who was holding it jumbed off the Raksha (click to see what a Raksha is) and he ran like he never ran before lol, I was "roughed" around and threatened by a piece of bango/marijuana if I don't make my friend come back with the bottle, in the end they let me go.. anyways, that's not the issue. the issue is I wanted to avenge for wasting my time so bad I decided to go to the Police Station myself and find these suckers, I memorized the car's plate numbers and took another Raksha.

at the station I was asked for my name, age, address, and "my tribe". the policeman who was asking me these questions was a western sudanese. I told him I can't answer this question cuz it's not relevant to my case. but he insisted it because it's "procedures". I couldn't understand how asking me about my tribe is procedure!
but as I tried to describe the dudes who arrested me i couldn't help but to reffer to one of them as "wad 3arab" (=son of an arab). i felt bad for using this stupid description so I added the pharase "you know, as THEY say, he was a wad 3arab/arab".
and I thought about "THEY" for a minute, THEY is obviously the ones who find benefit in such discrimination, the benefit is mostly political of course, but most of the times it is mere Pride. THEY find comfort in being proud of who THEY are, or in fact, what THEIR tribe is. the same western policeman told me "this will never change", and "sudan will remain racist forever". i don't think this is racism, this is more like an attempt to fulfil one's pride in one's self. i don't think this can be "changed" or removed, but it can be directed in a better way, instead of classifying sudanese people on the basis of their tribe, why not do so on the basis of their city, state, or home town, if sudanese people learned to be proud in who they really are, Sudanese, and replaced the need for tribalism as a method for pride fulfilment, we would have a much better Sudan.

I want the next presidenid to try and make everyone proud of where he was born, make one proud of the land not the people/tribes who once dwelled this land. every sudanese state/region has its own unique culture, use this as way to fulfil people's pride with. why should all states have to teach the same subjects in schools, let every state teach its own history for example, so the children grow with pride in their land no matter what the tribes they came from are. but when you teach everyone about "great" muslim and "arab" men, our peoblem will never be solved.

so yeah, yall know how we been taught that the prophet Mohammed is an "Ummy" (Illiterate) prophet.. meaning he can't write nor read. and we have been taught to view this as a meracle, and a proof for the Quran being "not written by him".
I always wondered how can a noble man like Mohammed who descended from a noble house, and married a noble woman who trusted him for her wealth and he travelled to different places for trade, how come a man like that didn't read or write. well, one can never prove if Mohammed did read and write, but one can sure demolish the FALSE claim that he was Illiterate.
if we read the verses in the quran that mentions that word "UMMY", there's a different meaning that's not even close to literacy .. it's actually the "nasab"/"Name" of "Umma" or Nations.. therefore "Ummy" is more like "National".. read the verse and use your mind .. I'll quote them in english since this is an english forums, but with the verse number so you can cheak in arabic.. those are just two verses, there's more ..

3: 20 “…and tell those who have received the scriptures and the Ummien have you submitted?…”

2:78-79 "Among them are 'ummuys' who do not know the scripture, except through hearsay, then assume that they know it.

reading the verses, you sense that the subject isn't the ability of Mohammed to read or write, it's the fact that he is not from the house of David, not from the tribes of Israel .. he is an Ummy, the nasab of Umma, meaning he is sent to all nations,
the first verse clearly states the there is: 1) people who who have received the scriptures, and 2) the Ummien, which is obviously the people who have not recieved a scripture (who are not from Ahl Al kitab).
in the second verse Allah warns "Ummys" not to distort the scriptures with their own hands, so the word Ummy can't mean Illitrate ..
the word Ummy is clearly the nasab for Umma, since Mohammed's Quran was the only scripture sent to a messenger who is not from the tribes of Israel,
a "Gentile" messenger.
the word Gentile means "belonging to or characteristic of non-Jewish peoples" and in hebrew it is "Goym". in Jewsh culture (and in the Torah), people of other cultures are called "Gentiles"/"Goym", in arabic, they are "Ummyien".

A member of Unblock Youtube In Sudan Now on Facebook started a topic about how we benefit from Youtube in Sudan.
I was like ..

youtube for me resembles independence arts at its best .. everyone who's sick
and tired of the commercialized music and the fake plastic artists on tv or on
the radio can watch/listen his/her favorite artists on Youtube, underground
musicians use youtube as a base to spread their music which they can't spread
through majoir record companies because it lacks the commercial aspect, take rap
music as an example, fakes like 50 cent and lil wayne found their way to fame
because they're on tv 24/7 makin commercials to cell phones, shoes and stuff
like that, but they have no artistic material of any kind, underground artists
can't compete on TV, but thanks to websites like youtube and myspace and many
other, they have a chance to make their voices heared.and not just the music, I
watched a "net-movie" for the first time on youtube, it was "Zeitgeist, The
Movie" a documantry with amazing content that would never be shown on TV, but
it's on youtube for whoever wants to see it.and I know alot of bloggers, and
v-bloggers (video bloggers) who use Youtube as a way to communicate and to speak
their minds, I know people who make news just like CNN or aljazeera, in other
words, Youtube is the equivalent to Gutenberg's machine, information can be made
by people who were yesterday only recieve it. suddenly everyone gets to speak
and not just listen like the old days, and I blv that's great.remember youtube's
motto: "broadcast yourself", it's a dagger in the heart of corporate media.

So the reasons behind blocking Youtube in Sudan are still unknown, local newspapers reported that NTC officials didn't comment, one official said they will pass a written statement to newspapers, which i'm still waiting for.
I can imagine how that statement will look like, they will babble about immoral videos, and the sexual content as if blocking it will stop people from watching it, or they will express their anger at the "disrespecting" graphic videos of the president Omer Al-Bashir, as if he's not already a joke and a disgrace. but what they will not say is the truth about their improsinment to the children captured after JEM attacks. who were later given amnesty by President Omer Beshir and I know he didn't do that out of sympathy.
We can still open Youtube in Sudan, using Canada's servers for example.

The video shows prisoners of JEM May 10th attacks, children prisoners, forced to crawl while being beaten by government Army soldiers. You can hear the children scream in pain, and you will see many soldiers with whips in their hands. They say a picture worth a thousand words, well, a video worth alot more I say.
If you can't understand arabic or sudanese dielect, I'll try to translatre some of the dialogue. One of the soldiers voice tellin another "let him hit them, let him take out their souls too", then the same voice is asking one of the prisoners "RPG?", he says againg "Klash? klash you son of a dog". other voices in the background "hit him", "hit him good", the children cries will make you sick.
At the second minute of the video, the soldiers are asking one of the prisoners some questions in a sarcastic way. "You were forced to come here?" the prisoner answers "Yes we were forced", the prisoner then says some more stuff but I can't hear him, they ask him "why did you go to Angamina (the capital of Chad which gave support to Dr. Khalil's forces)" he answers "I'm from Sudan" and says something about "hitting/shooting", a soldier tells him "They will show you how hitting be". and with the same sarcastic behaviour a soldier asks a prisoner if he "wants water" and tells him to "wait, it'll come". and the video ends with soldiers shouting and telling the prisoners to stay down, a soldiers steps on a prisoner's head in a very insulting way, and I'm sure if he was ever released he will carry arms again to kill "arabs".

The Revolution Won't Be Internetized

Gil Scott Heron has an amazing poem from the early 70s states that "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" .. in places like Sudan, it won't be televised and it won't be internetized either.

Many sudanese youth have joined the Facebook group "Unblock Youtube In Sudan Now" and expressed their disagreement with the blocking. and many helped by posting proxies and IP addresses that are not tracked by the National Telecommunication Corporation.
Still nobody knows the reason behind NTC's blocking for youtube, some would assume it's because of pornographic videos, in other words it's blocked for moral reasons. but why does Youtube have porn in it? well, it doesn't, Youtube team removes any video with sexual content, but I guess it can't define arabic text, but reporting abuse or "Flagging" a video is enough to have it removed. NTC filtering system works in a similar way, it searches keywords from the title, tags, or even the comments to block certain pages/videos on Youtube or anyother website, I've seen this happen before. but why blocking the entire website now? without even explaining why, I think it's just another attempt to suffocate freedom of speech, specially in times like these, with the international court after Omar, they don't want someone with opposition to the official story about how every sudanese citizen supports Omar. they don't want us to see the documantries that have been posted lately about the "ghost houses" created to tourture individuals who didn't support the "salvation revolution", and with the elections coming, they don't want any anti-kizan* campaign, which is something not allowed on local newspapers, and the national TV is on their side 24/7, but Youtube, facebook, and blogs give a free space for the truth, and this is what THEY fear the most.
this is not a moral issue, it is political. they have always profited from ignorance, and web 2.0 is against ignorance and those fascists really hates it, so I won't be surprised if they blocked facebook or myspace next. if they did, we'll have to do more than just creating a group on the web.

Youtube Blocked in Sudan

Update: 23/4/2010 (two years later)

Youtube was blocked by the Sudanese National Telecommunication Corporation, which is known for blocking porn websites, and controversial religous websites, hacking websites, etc .. but Youtube? why would they block it? Youtube is known for it's "report abuse" system, no unapropriate materials find its way to it, even the videos with sexual/violent content are not allowed for -18 users, so why would the Sudanese government block it?(yes, I believe the government is after this and it's not a conspiracy) what else other than it's freedom of speech services? I know what this fascist regime hates the most? no, not technology, they fear those who are able to use this technology. I was intending to upload a video I'm supposed to get soon from a friend who got it from a relative working for the military, the video shows extreme tourture commited on those who were prisoned at the 10th of May events, did someone upload it before I do? It's been moving from phone to phone by bluetooth for a while, even though I didn't see it till now but people are talking. The governemnt managed to prevent local newspapers from mentioning Kajbar Dam atrocities before and arrested many activists.
what's next? Will they block blogs? facebook? myspace?

I'm in Shendi, i've been here for 2 days now, and tomorrow i'm going to Bagrawiyah, the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kush,

I went to school in Shendi 7 years ago, studied 8th grade in Shendi North School, right after we moved from KSA, I was born here in Shendi, right next to Al-Sikka 7adid (The Train Station), I gotta admit, even though I lived here for a whole year before my family move again to Khartoum, I never seen how amazing this city is. but damn, I forgot my camera's USB plug back in Khartoum, so I won't be able to upload pics till i go back.

So yeah, the city is not the same as it was 7 years ago, it got more paved streets with lights, more multi-stories buildings, Atoz cars as Taxis, and a million raksha, so basically, it's not so diffrent from Khartoum, depends on where you're bike is taking you (my transportation in exploring the city is an old rusty bike that got the word Phoenix on it :D), "7ilat Al-Bahar" (a fancy neighorhood next to the nile, it's like Riad to Khartoum) is so amazing, specially at night, the lights and the trees and the clean paved streets makes it feel more like Khartoum, but what doesn't feel like Khartoum is the Copts. there are many copts here that you can actually see they have social classes, in Khartoum the only Copts I know are rich copts, here there's a whole neghorhood full of them and some of them are poor, and some are not, just like any other race, if they are a race.. I really need to know more about them. anyways, I went to their church, and I gotta tell you, it's mad nice, it looks like a mosque, only with crosses on it and a big ass satellite dish, I didn't get to see it from the inside though, maybe tomorrow when I come back from the ancient city.. man i'm so excited to see the pyramids.

I also wanna go cheak "Al-3ashwa'ey" (litterly: The Random), it's the neighorhood where southerns live, or forced to live I say, I don't know many "janoubi" people here in Shendi, even those who went to school with me I don't remember their names or where they live, but I still remember "Argaweez", she was my grandma's best friend, when she's not cleaning the house, or washing cloths, she just sits there in the kitchen chatting with my grandma, I wonder where she is now, maybe she'll show up when my grandma comes home, she's in Khartoum now, so yeah, the house is mine :D and it's crazy nice when you got the house and the stash, know what i mean? lol

I met a man today at the station, he looked like he's from South but i'm not sure, his name is Yousif, a really nice man, he's a soldier, he told me he came back from Darfur six months ago and now he's doing nothing, he didn't look mad though, I asked him if they were really killing people at Darfur because they're black, he tried to explain how it only started as a tribal conflict over camels and shit, something close to the government's official story so I didn't really care and stopped the politics crap. I hope he finds a better job, he is really a good man.

today's morning was so amazing, I even heared someone telling his friends "This is Sudan's spring", it was cloudy and breezy.. and if bob marley was with me, i'm sure he'd sing "Kaya" lol. so yeah, I went to the train station, but there was no train there yet, only a group of white people, men, women, and children sitting there like they're living there, I approached them with my camera up high and said hi, one guy, I forgot his name (I got my reasons lol) was so friendly so I asked him if I can take some pictures for him and his family, he was totally cool with, but not before taking the only 2 pounds I had in my pocket, I gave it to him cuz they really looked sad, I asked him where they came from, he told me they come from Palestine, yes, palestine, I was like wooo.they were really nice, I took some nice pictures too, but I stopped cuz the oldest one, probably their grandpa, took me aside an started some creepy conversation with me, he told me that "the eye got me" (the "evil eye" in islamic culture", I told him that I don't believe in this stuff, he told me about surat al-falaq and that Allah tells us in to seek refugee "from the evil of the envier when he envieth.", I told him it's as simple as that, we should be on the guard for the evil of the envier, envy is just a feeling, It don't hurt nobody, it's the actions of those who envy is what hurts.

he didn't like what I told him, and he told me some more things that i'm not gonna tell you, sorry but it's kinda private :), he pulled some psychic shit and told me some stuff about ME that I didn't like neither, so yeah, I left them and went back home.

1- Stoup The Enemy of Mankind (from Jedi Mind Tricks)
this nigga here is a god on the beats .. if you listen to JMT's track "Saviorself" you'll know what i mean, whenever i listen to this song, the beat takes me straight to the pyramids, and that's what makes a great producer, he makes you live what the rapper is talking about.. "Uncommon Valor", also a masterpiece by JMT is another example of his magic touch, he takes artists' lyrics to another level with his creative production, it don't matter if its fight music, love, war, history, or anything. JMT's earlier albums show his abilities so clearly.. his next collabo with Canibus is going to make him an enemy of producers for sure.

2- Tha RZA (From Wu-Tang Clan)
killa beez formed their swarm with the production skills of this man, his work on the group's debut album "Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" is remarkable for its gritty effectivness, even though the group's equipment was so weak at the time, it was even described as "dusty", but RZA's production came with a brand new style that was unprecedented in hip hop, using soul samples and movie sound clips to enhance the picture lyricists were drawing in the tracks. RZA's solo album "Birth of A Prince" is a masterpiece, lyrically and instrumentally, and with another 4 solo albums, RZA proves with his discordant piano samples and wavering strings that rap is an art. "See The Joy" from Birth of A Prince.

3- DJ Premier (From Gangstarr)
Premo is a ill motherfucka when it comes to making beats, he's been killing tracks since the 1990 and still doin it, he's most notable for his work with Guru in the great GangStarr, tracks like "Above The Clouds", "Mass Appeal", "JFK 2 LAX", "Full Clip".. and Nas's "NY State of Mind", show how simple yet powerful his beats are.. he also produced for many artists such as Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., KRS-One, Bone Thugz N Harmony.. etc.

4- Necro
this white sick motherfucker is a true track murderer, his rugged beats are as sick as his lyrics, sometimes you can see blood comin out of the speakers after playing some of his shit lol, listen to his collabo album with Ill Bill (from Coca La Nostra) "Street Villians" ("Bury You With Satan The Remix").. also his album "Gory Days" got some really gory plays.. and I'm glad to tell you I'm usin some of his instrumentals for my mixtape :D .. my all time favorite beats by him are "The Big Sleep", "Morbid", "light my fire" .. and the list goes on

5- DJ Kno (from Cunninlynguists)
another white boi with infinite skills on the beats, this kid is so fuckin creative his beats are like movies man, the album "Will Rap For Food" is more than enough to prove his abilities, and he really excelled himself with his work on the group's last LP "Dirty Acres" .. and between Rap For Food and Acres, he made some of the most touching beats ever, "A Piece Of Strange" contains some of the most artistic beats in the history of hip hop. start with "Rain", "What'll You Do?", "War", "Appreciation Remix" and "KKKY". get their whole discography to listen to more, it really worth it.

6- 7L (from the group 7LES)
also a white boi, 7L is a skilled producer who manages to take the listener to the core of Esoteric's lyrics.. in tracks like "Rise of A Rebel" it's easy to see that the rebel is 7L with his amazing piano. listenin to the 2006 LP "Moment of Rarities" is a great way to sense his production style.

7- Tonedeff
as a rapper he is a god of flow.. as a producer he's more like an orchestra leader, but without the stick, beats on tracks like "Porcelain" or "Loyal" are deeper than the words said in em, actually the whole "Archetype" album is a deep as a scuba diver production, you don't wanna miss that, listen to it's overture entitled "Overture".

8- Pete Rock
Pete Rock style is based on samples, and he's really nice with what he's doing, even thoough i didn't get the chance to really listen to all what he's done, but his work on Edo-G's album "My Worst Enemy" really forced me to put his name here. cheak "Jus Listen", "Situations".. he also produced for Nas, B.I.G., and many others.

9- The Alchemist
another white producer, this kid truly does turn lead to gold, his serise entiled "The Chemistry Files" are rapper's best friend (he has an instrumentals album with the same name). he produced for so many artists, but most notably is his work with Mobb Deep, Dilated Peoples, Ghostface Killah.. etc. a must listen: "Mama" from Big Pun's album "Endangered Species", Prodigy from Mobb Deep "Hold You Down"

10- Immortal Technique
though his production is not as much as his punchlines, but good things comes in small packages, or something like that.. anyways, his "Caught In A Hustle" track is a mad nice produced saga.

11- Jean Grae
her producing career is not as serious as her MCin' career, but she still a mad nice producer, production of immortal technique's "Revolutionary" from "Revolutionary Vol. 1" belongs to her sweet fingers lol.

12- RJD2
this white kid is a GENIUS.. he's simply a fucking genius, and he makes some real trippy music.. always good to listen to when you high as a bird know what am sayin? RJD2 is a real artist, mixing diffrent types of music creating inspiring tunes.. he mostly rolls solo, but his collabo with Aceyalone is remarkable, he managed to cheak: "Smoke And Mirrors", "Ghostwriter", "Beyond the Beyond", "1976", "The Horror", "Junior", "All For You", and you'll sure gonna download his whole discography

A.Roman pagans first introduced the holiday of Saturnalia, a week long period of lawlessness celebrated between December 17-25. During this period, Roman courts were closed, and Roman law dictated that no one could be punished for damaging property or injuring people during the weeklong celebration. The festival began when Roman authorities chose "an enemy of the Roman people" to represent the "Lord of Misrule." Each Roman community selected a victim whom they forced to indulge in food and other physical pleasures throughout the week. At the festival's conclusion, December 25th, Roman authorities believed they were destroying the forces of darkness by brutally murdering this innocent man or woman.

B.The ancient Greek writer poet and historian Lucian (in his dialogue entitled Saturnalia) describes the festival's observance in his time. In addition to human sacrifice, he mentions these customs: widespread intoxication; going from house to house while singing naked; rape and other sexual license; and consuming human-shaped biscuits (still produced in some English and most German bakeries during the Christmas season).

C.In the 4th century CE, Christianity imported the Saturnalia festival hoping to take the pagan masses in with it. Christian leaders succeeded in converting to Christianity large numbers of pagans by promising them that they could continue to celebrate the Saturnalia as Christians.[2]

D.The problem was that there was nothing intrinsically Christian about Saturnalia. To remedy this, these Christian leaders named Saturnalia's concluding day, December 25th, to be Jesus' birthday.

E.Christians had little success, however, refining the practices of Saturnalia. As Stephen Nissenbaum, professor history at the University of Massachussetts, Amherst, writes, "In return for ensuring massive observance of the anniversary of the Savior's birth by assigning it to this resonant date, the Church for its part tacitly agreed to allow the holiday to be celebrated more or less the way it had always been." The earliest Christmas holidays were celebrated by drinking, sexual indulgence, singing naked in the streets (a precursor of modern caroling), etc.

F.The Reverend Increase Mather of Boston observed in 1687 that "the early Christians who first observed the Nativity on December 25 did not do so thinking that Christ was born in that Month, but because the Heathens' Saturnalia was at that time kept in Rome, and they were willing to have those Pagan Holidays metamorphosed into Christian ones."[3] Because of its known pagan origin, Christmas was banned by the Puritans and its observance was illegal in Massachusetts between 1659 and 1681.[4] However, Christmas was and still is celebrated by most Christians.

G.Some of the most depraved customs of the Saturnalia carnival were intentionally revived by the Catholic Church in 1466 when Pope Paul II, for the amusement of his Roman citizens, forced Jews to race naked through the streets of the city. An eyewitness account reports, "Before they were to run, the Jews were richly fed, so as to make the race more difficult for them and at the same time more amusing for spectators. They ran… amid Rome's taunting shrieks and peals of laughter, while the Holy Father stood upon a richly ornamented balcony and laughed heartily."

III.The Origins of Christmas Customs

A.Christmas Trees
Just as early Christians recruited Roman pagans by associating Christmas with the Saturnalia, so too worshippers of the Asheira cult and its offshoots were recruited by the Church sanctioning "Christmas Trees". Pagans had long worshipped trees in the forest, or brought them into their homes and decorated them, and this observance was adopted and painted with a Christian veneer by the Church.

B.Mistletoe
Norse mythology recounts how the god Balder was killed using a mistletoe arrow by his rival god Hoder while fighting for the female Nanna. Druid rituals use mistletoe to poison their human sacrificial victim. The Christian custom of "kissing under the mistletoe" is a later synthesis of the sexual license of Saturnalia with the Druidic sacrificial cult.

C.Christmas Presents
In pre-Christian Rome, the emperors compelled their most despised citizens to bring offerings and gifts during the Saturnalia (in December) and Kalends (in January). Later, this ritual expanded to include gift-giving among the general populace. The Catholic Church gave this custom a Christian flavor by re-rooting it in the supposed gift-giving of Saint Nicholas

D.Santa Claus

a.Nicholas was born in Parara, Turkey in 270 CE and later became Bishop of Myra. He died in 345 CE on December 6th. He was only named a saint in the 19th century.

b.Nicholas was among the most senior bishops who convened the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE and created the New Testament. The text they produced portrayed Jews as "the children of the devil"[11] who sentenced Jesus to death.

c.In 1087, a group of sailors who idolized Nicholas moved his bones from Turkey to a sanctuary in Bari, Italy. There Nicholas supplanted a female boon-giving deity called The Grandmother, or Pasqua Epiphania, who used to fill the children's stockings with her gifts. The Grandmother was ousted from her shrine at Bari, which became the center of the Nicholas cult. Members of this group gave each other gifts during a pageant they conducted annually on the anniversary of Nicholas' death, December 6.

d.The Nicholas cult spread north until it was adopted by German and Celtic pagans. These groups worshipped a pantheon led by Woden –their chief god and the father of Thor, Balder, and Tiw. Woden had a long, white beard and rode a horse through the heavens one evening each Autumn. When Nicholas merged with Woden, he shed his Mediterranean appearance, grew a beard, mounted a flying horse, rescheduled his flight for December, and donned heavy winter clothing.

e.In a bid for pagan adherents in Northern Europe, the Catholic Church adopted the Nicholas cult and taught that he did (and they should) distribute gifts on December 25th instead of December 6th.

f.In 1809, the novelist Washington Irving (most famous his The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle) wrote a satire of Dutch culture entitled Knickerbocker History. The satire refers several times to the white bearded, flying-horse riding Saint Nicholas using his Dutch name, Santa Claus.

g.Dr. Clement Moore, a professor at Union Seminary, read Knickerbocker History, and in 1822 he published a poem based on the character Santa Claus: "Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in the hope that Saint Nicholas soon would be there…" Moore innovated by portraying a Santa with eight reindeer who descended through chimneys.

h.The Bavarian illustrator Thomas Nast almost completed the modern picture of Santa Claus. From 1862 through 1886, based on Moore's poem, Nast drew more than 2,200 cartoon images of Santa for Harper's Weekly. Before Nast, Saint Nicholas had been pictured as everything from a stern looking bishop to a gnome-like figure in a frock. Nast also gave Santa a home at the North Pole, his workshop filled with elves, and his list of the good and bad children of the world. All Santa was missing was his red outfit.

i.In 1931, the Coca Cola Corporation contracted the Swedish commercial artist Haddon Sundblom to create a coke-drinking Santa. Sundblom modeled his Santa on his friend Lou Prentice, chosen for his cheerful, chubby face. The corporation insisted that Santa's fur-trimmed suit be bright, Coca Cola red. And Santa was born – a blend of Christian crusader, pagan god, and commercial idol.

The news about egyptian soldiers shooting sudanese refugees while trying to cross the borders to Israel really pissed me off.
cuz during the last year hundereds of egyptians arrived to work in Khartoum, they took over small jobs like construction and resturants services..
those workers are not put in ghettoes, they are treted well, in simple words, they are having a good life. I don't remember seeing any sad egyptian motherfucka here in Khartoum, matter fact their stupid loud laughter on buses makes me sick when I remember the misrable lifes of Southern Sudanese construction workers who go drink cheap liqueur after they finish their shift burning their souls, I see egyptians finish their shifts and go have some cappuccino in Ozone or Afra mall.

"Sudan Government apologizes for police assault on Egyptian workers" was a headline months ago, which is some funny shit cuz the same police that apologizes to the egyptians is the same one that been and still practice brutality on sudanese citizens, we never heared them apologize for us. but thats a diffrent story.

The Christians chanted Halleluiah. And this set identity for the war players. The few civilian audience started cheering for the Egyptian army against the dirty / black / Christian parasites. Yes, there was no humanity in the scene.

egyptian civilians were cheering for the armed forces as they were beating the refugees is nothing new, egyptians are racist briks, anyone familiar with egyptian cinema would notice that, specially their "golden era", which is nothing but buillshit. and till this day, sudanese

Wikipedia, Free?

Finally, I watched it. Zeitgeist, The Movie, The Spirit of Age. and It was something else for real. I wouldn't hesitate to give it 9 out of 10. that 1 is cut for reasons I will discuss in my review on the movie in the next entry.

But before that, I'd like to talk about an important issue, something that matters for me as it matters for any other blogger around the world, Internet Censorship, taking Wikipedia as an example.

Is what we know today as "user-generated content websites" or "web 2.0" (blogs, youtube, wikis, flickr, etc) really something "from the people and to the people"? I'm asking that question which popped in my mind right after I discovered how "Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia" is not "free" at all.
Just before yesterday, I had this strong faith in Wikipedia, ever since I found this website while looking for informations about Solid Snake (from Metal Gear Solid Video Game) and I was so happy to find a huge amount of information about the game history and its developing, along long time ago, it became my destination whenever I feel like learning about something new and see what other people got to say about it. everytime I watch a movie I look for its article on Wikipedia, enjoy reading the trivia, the Production background, criticism, etc. Whenever I read or hear about someone who interests me, I hurl to Wikipedia to read more about his life, find his quotes in Wikiquotes, I never buy a book unless I cheak what Wikipedia's review on it, Underground artists who don't have mainstream media's attention got biographies in Wikipedia, history, science, arts, and many many more topics that Wikipedia makes it easier to learn about, and of course cheaper.In simple words, for the last five years, Wikipedia was more than just a website to me. I even used to test it from time to time by searching for stuff that I used to think there's no way I find information about them where I live, I was so surprised that my search for pre-islamic arab gods actually gave me great results, with articles about Al-Lat and Al-Uza (Pagan arab gods) which are topics I was only taught to hate them, other attempt was to find out how the NES Gun work, (NES or Famicom, is a game station before the Playstation era).

And I'm sure many of you share with me this respect to this great source of information and how it represents the journalism of masses from around the world.

As usual, after watching Zeitgeist, I went to cheak Wikipedia for it, I found nothing, and I'm sure yall found it strange that there's no article for such a "controversial" -as some would call it- peice of work. it just didn't make sense to me. so I had to ask google, I typed the words Zeitgeist The Movie Wikipedia and clicked search. and what I found was this page:

I was like, HUH?

I don't know much about Wikipedia rules, in fact, it was the first time I know Wikipedia has a criteria for "Notability" of films [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(films)].

Ok, I can understand that they donh't wanna see articles about movies on YouTube by stupid fat kids fighting to get of the couch or whatever, but it's the notability condition that made me choke. a movie entry must be mentioned in the "mainstream media" before it is deemed notable!!! WTF? mainstream media? the reason why we are having these internet movies, those self broadcasting websites, those "free" encyclopedias is to escabe the bullshit of mainstream media, but now you wanna tell me I can't write an article about something unless the mainstream media talk about it first? fuck you.
and wait a second.. notability? the goddamn movie is being discussed all over the web, on blogs, forums and in chat rooms, it's getting millions of hits on Google Videos. and since it's an Internet Film we are talking about here, I think these factors are stronger evidence on notability than mentioning it in some fact-twisting corporate media outlets.

There's no comparison between this movie and the stupid nonsense on youtube and google video that Wikipedia need notability to host articles about them, this is a 2 hours long movie that is completely professional (though the sounds are not, too much bass man), it discusses the issues in an informative way, it don't need “full length reviews by two or more nationally known critics” to gain honesty, fuck that, that's the diffrence between Internet and corporate media, people are the critics. they will watch it, and go watch more movies or read more books about the issues and come back to correct the mistakes or to add new information (its those with empty-minds, they are the ones who need critics, but they're too busy arguing who should win American Idol). it just happened to be broadcasted through Youtube and Google along with millions of other materials that may not meet Wikipedia's criteria. and that's definitly not a reason to throw such a great job away and call it nonsesne, it's what you're doing is nonsense, mainstream media attention huh?

It's as simple as that, When Wikipedia clearly states that blogs, forums, downloaders don't matter, and are not "a satisfactory evidence of notability", it also clearly states that it's not a reliable source itself. and its a shame to be called "free" or "open" or whatever.

After Rupert Murdoch bought MySpace -and he's a known media monopolizer-, it became a fear of many that one day, the internet won't be diffrent from TV, and we all know revolution won't be televised.

I heared about this net movie called Zeitgeist (German for Spirit of Time) and how it's "the most interesting, scary, brilliant, sickening and thought provoking film that I have had the pleasure to watch", quoting a dude from Yahoo Answers.

I cheaked the movie's webpage, and they got a quote at the bottom says:
"They must find it difficult...
those who have taken authority as the truth, rather than truth as the authority".

I didn't watch it yet, but I know it's about religons, and some other fucked up topics, I watched a few minutes on Google Videos (They got it Full in here), and it looks interesting cuz it cretisize religions in general and not only that LIE called Christanity which doesn't even need criticism to see how fake it is. I hope they got something about Islam.

so yeah, I downloaded it, and I'm going to watch it tonight, come back later to give it a thump up or down. anyways, I also downloaded Half Baked, so if this turned to be some stupid concpiracy theory slide show, I got Dave Chappelle to make me forget, and some real good weed man.
one more thing, is this gonna be like the Net Movies era or something? they're everywhere and about everything. I think it rocks. Academy Award people should add it to their list.

Finally, someone from South America viewed my blog (cheak my map below). lol, I know it's nothing, but to me it means a lot, plus, I'm bored and I wanna post something. I have respect to the people of that part of the world since I was a kid, thanks to cartoon shows like The Mysterious Cities of Gold and I'm still sad cuz I never had a chance to finish Andes Shonen Pepero no Boken (which is known as the Golden Eagle in its arabic version), I hope he found his dad. these shows and other stuff introduced me to the great civilizations of the Inca, Aztec, and Maya people. They were great people who were misinterpreted by most western media as people who do human sacrifices, but who wasn't at that time? Romans did it, Arabs did it, Africans did it. plus, what the spaniards did to them was much worse than human sacrifices, but since we're living in a white world, we don't get to see the atrocities committed by europeans(Latinos still facing atrocities by the USA fascist regime who acts like its their backyard), nope, I aint being racist here, it's the truth. and it's also the truth that these people developed great mathematical and astronomical systems nobody ever thought of it before, and they built some beatiful pyramids, like this one.

and of course, I can't forget that it's the continent that gave birth to Ernesto Guevara. and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Isbel Allende, plus everybody around here says I look mexican, lol.

I googled for some information about the so-called "Morality Police" or Al Nizam Al Aam of Khartoum, I was trying to find out some infos about the way it started and stuff, but I didn't find anything usefull, at least not yet.

The reason why I wanna know about Al Nizam Al Aam is because, yesterday, me and 3 of my friends had to CLEAN their offices. yub, we got caught and sent by the BLUE BOX to the station where the boys in blue made a BARNAMIG out of us and made us clean the offices and the Hoosh of course, but that's a long story I'm gonna talk about it in another post. till then FUCK THE POLICE.
